A PARTNERSHIP shaped by balance.

MaFe and Maritere met in law school in 2013, bonding during a summer internship and a late-night class. After being sworn into the profession together in 2017, their careers took different paths: MaFe joining a corporate law firm, and Maritere helping build one of the Island’s boutique entertainment law practices. Seven years later, a simple coffee reunion made it clear that their goals and values were more aligned than ever.

Recognizing their complementary strengths and shared vision, they decided to take a leap of faith together. What followed was a natural evolution: a partnership defined by balance and contrast, corporate precision paired with creative fluency, legal structure with imagination, and strategy with empathy.

From that moment, ArYse Legal Studio was born: a practice shaped by purpose, harmony, and the shared commitment to rise side by side.

Maritere Ysern is an entertainment and intellectual property attorney with 8+ years of legal experience and over two decades of expertise in the audiovisual industry. She advises on complex business and legal matters, including financing and incentives, rights registries, production legal, guild and talent agreements, work-for-hire, distribution and sales, and clearances. Her clients span films, series, video games, live events, and IP-driven businesses. With a network ranging from local creators to major studios, attorneys, and film commissioners in the US, Spain, and LATAM, and an Emmy Award–winning background as a writer and producer, she employs legal precision with an insider’s understanding of creative processes.

María Fernanda Archevald is a corporate attorney with 8+ years of experience in corporate transactions, intellectual property, entertainment law, and regulatory affairs. She counsels clients in manufacturing, distribution, licensing, events, sponsorships, copyright and trademark, and tax exemptions, including generating and placing tax credits. Her portfolio includes major food and beverage brands, advertising agencies, restaurants, among others, and she often partners with leading US law firms on complex distribution and IP matters.
